Still Taking It There

T-blawg began from the point of view of a single guy just telling stories about his life. Most of it was every Monday from blog post to blog post. Or as I liked to call them, T-pisodes. Some of those stories were later told straight from the horse’s mouth on podcasts. I was that horse. And no, I didn’t break a leg running a race and then get brought out back to be put down. It’s quite the opposite actually.

Towards the end of T-blawg I had lost my mother. I wrote about her on here a ton. She raised me in the tough Boston neighborhood of Eastie while my father was in prison and still wasn’t much of a dad when he came back out. I miss her. I met my wife. She was pregnant with our first daughter and I put a bow on T-blawg with the podcast she and I did on here. I never thought I’d come back here. Times have changed. I have changed. We bought a house in the suburbs just north of Boston. We had another daughter. Yep, I am a girl dad. I’m learning every day. I climbed the corporate ladder a bit. Faced some challenges. Started some business ventures of my own. Faced some challenges. And oh yeah… I’m still writing.

During all this time, I’ve watched people find T-blawg and come here to learn something. Or to be entertained. I said to my wife “I put all this content on T-blawg for years, let me go back to see what I had.” It was a lot. I’m glad I kept the site up. I saw that there was a lot of valuable information in those stories. Lots of lessons. Lots of mistakes. Lots of STRONG opinions. Lots of knowledge shared that others were clearly searching for. To learn. To laugh. So I decided to update the site to modern times and offer up help to those that come here maybe looking for it. I’m older now. And living the life I’ve always worked for. The life I’ve always wanted. The life I clearly was writing about hoping I would have one day, even back then. And this is now.

I used to end and sign off every post on here with “Until next time, always take it there.”
Well, I took it there.
I’m still taking it there.
And maybe now I can help others like me take it there too.
